IDH and The Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands (The Embassy) in Brazil have identified an opportunity of strengthening its efforts in the development of a sustainable agenda in Pará, initially with the organization of an event in Belém in March 2024, which gathered relevant stakeholders for a discussion on challenges and opportunities for the implementation of landscape approaches in the region.
After the successful joint initiative, IDH and the Embassy currently look for support to the project “The Road to Belém – COP30: working on climate smart development with the ‘Amazon state’ Pará.” This Project aims to strengthen the partnership between Dutch and Pará stakeholders on climate change mitigation and sustainable development in the lead-up to COP30 in Belém, Brazil.
The consultancy will play a key role in to strengthen the partnership between IDH, the Embassy, Dutch and Pará stakeholders on climate smart, livestock and landscape development in the lead-up to COP30 in Belém, Brazil.
The selected consultant will be contracted by IDH, who will be also the manager of the Project, with the advisory and supporting role of the Embassy.
